The Los Angeles Police Department has launched an investigation into claims Armie Hammer violently raped a young woman.On Thursday, the 24-year-old woman – identified only as ‘Effie’ – went public with her accusation, alleging Hammer raped her during a terrifying four-hour ordeal on April 24, 2017.  Speaking at a press conference with her attorney, Gloria Allred, Effie claimed that Hammer, who was married at the time, ‘repeatedly slammed her head against a wall’ during the encounter, leaving her with bruises to her face. ‘During those four hours, I tried to get away but he wouldn’t let me.I thought that he was going to kill me,’ she sobbed. Effie alleges Hammer also whipped her feet with a crop – an act that left her in pain for a week. ‘He left with no concern for my well-being.During and since this attack, I have lived in fear of him,’ she stated. Allred confirmed that her client has handed over evidence to investigators, but said no charges have been filed. In a statement on Thursday afternoon, the LAPD told DailyMail.com: ‘We can confirm that Armie Hammer is the main suspect in an alleged sexual assault investigation that was initiated on February 3.’The Hollywood star has vigorously denied Effie’s accusation, describing it as ‘outrageous’ in a statement released by his own lawyer. At the time of the alleged rape, Hammer was married to TV personality Elizabeth Chambers.She filed for divorce in July 2020.  Hammer hit headlines in January of this year after social media account HouseOfEffie started sharing screenshots of disturbing text messages the actor had  allegedly sent to several of his exes. Allred would not confirm whether her client was behind the HouseOfEffie account.Effie currently lives at an undisclosed location in Europe.   On Thursday, a woman identified as ‘Effie’ claimed Armie Hammer violently raped her in Los Angeles on April 24, 2017.The pair are pictured together in a photograph taken sometime prior to the alleged  incident  Speaking at a press conference, Effie claimed that Hammer ‘repeatedly slammed her head against a wall’ during the incident, leaving her with bruises to her face Effie says she first came into contact with the Hollywood actor on social media back in 2016, when she was just 20 years old. The pair purportedly commenced a romantic relationship, despite the fact Hammer was married to Chambers at the time.cbd oil sleep disorders in seniors a bid to discredit Effie’s claims, Hammer’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler, shared screenshots of explicit messages the accuser sent to the actor last year – three years after the purported rape.  RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next The sins of Armie Hammer’s father: He inherited the family… Tasty?
